Creating vibrant, abstract contemporary dance pieces for proscenium and non-traditional spaces, Liss Fain's productions fuse experimentation with the kinetic precision of ballet. Since the 1980's, Liss Fain has integrated the work of film makers, sculptors, technologists and electronic media designers into her pieces. The music she works with— rhythmically complex, evocative, challenging both the choreographer and the dancer—is integral to the development of the movement and ideas of the piece. The company of nine, ballet-trained, dancers tours nationally and internationally. Performances range from pure dance pieces to collaborative works incorporating dance, visual design and technology.
