Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
I have been actively practicing law in the greater San Francisco Bay Area for 37 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Legal Services: Immigration and Criminal Defense for obtaining naturalizations, adjustments of status, post conviction relief as well as providing defense for non-citizens in the immigration and criminal courts.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been practicing law in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1980. My criminal law defense work led naturally to developing my immigration law practice. I am now an Immigration Lawyer and Criminal Defense Attorney.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I have combined and developed expertise in two (2) key areas of law: immigration and criminal where there is a tremendous need but where there are very few competent attorneys or lawyers practicing. Obtaining post-conviction relief in the criminal courts is one of the areas that has become vital in defending my non-citizen clients.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
My law office is conveniently located between 3rd & New Montgomery on Mission St. near Yerba Buena Center and MOMA with public parking & BART both nearby.
Provide detailed directions to your location
Take BART to the Montgomery St. station & walk a short block to Mission St. You can also park 1.5 Blocks away at the 5th & Mission Street Public Parking Garage.
What type of payments do you accept?
I accept payments using both checks or cash.
Which areas do you service?
I service the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
I would highly recommend Stephen Eckdish with hesitation to anyone seeking a competent and conscientious attorney in immigration and/or criminal defense legal matters.
