How long have you been in business?
San Francisco SAFE is a community crime prevention organization that works in cooperation with the San Francisco Police Department to help San Franciscans protect themselves from becoming victims. SF SAFE has been in existence since 1976, and became a nonprofit corporation in 1980.
What is your primary product or service?
Neighborhood Watch is a major focus of SF SAFE's activities. Our staff empowers neighbors to learn how to protect themselves, their families and their property. We urge people to become involved with crime prevention and reduction by encouraging them to keep an eye out for one another and to report suspicious activities to the police. Since SF SAFE’s inception over 5,000 Neighborhood Watch groups have been formed.

San Francisco SAFE engages, educates and empowers San Franciscans to build safer neighborhoods through crime prevention education and public safety services that result in stronger, more vibrant and resilient communities.
