Bill and Merrie Lightner met studying for the Bar Exam in 1980 and married in 1983. By 1984, they had formed Lightner Property Group, a San Francisco-based real estate investment and management firm.
Because of Merrie Lightner's long-held San Francisco Rent Board position, hands-on Property Management experience, and legal background, the expert witness line of business grew organically over the years. Lightner Group’s tight-knit staff found it easy to adapt their property management administrative systems to litigation support. From that, other real estate focused experts joined the team, resulting in a impressive faculty that continues to grow.
