Licensed Clinical Psychologist
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has worked with thousands of Bay Area adults and couples for more than 18 years.
I received my undergraduate degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University and my Masters Degree and Doctoral Degree at the California Graduate School of Psychology (Now Argosy University.) I have been trained in models of family therapy, have had clinical experience in the area of child abuse prevention, and have received extensive pre- and post-doctoral training in health psychology at UCSF Medical Center.
As a staff psychologist at UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center, I worked with over 2000 individuals who were diagnosed with cancer. During that time, I provided psychological services to patients and family members. I assisted both faculty and staff with difficult patient interactions, provided support on both an inpatient and outpatient level, ran numerous support groups, and gave talks on a variety of cancer-related topics.
After many years at UCSF, I left to devote all of my time to my private psychotherapy and consultation practice. There, I expanded my clinical expertise to include working with men and women in the tech industry and the particular challenges some of them face. In addition, I focused my practice on those dealing with health-related issues, trauma, relationship struggles and anxiety/depression.
I have a particular interest in the impact of stress on health and well-being, as well as the implementation of a collaborative model of treatment with other health specialties.
I am a member of Division 42 of the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association, the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, the National Center For Crisis Management, Give an Hour, and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
